Come tour the Farm!

We offer farm tours by appointment if you are interested in visiting us and seeing what we do! Farm tours are about 1 - 1.5 hours and include a walking tour of the farm and visiting the animals. After the tour, visitors can purchase farm goods which typically includes (depending on season):

Raw Water Buffalo Dairy
Water Buffalo Meat
Heritage Hen Farm Eggs
All-Natural Tallow Balm
Raw, never heated, local Honey
Frozen Blueberries
Bayou Sarah Farms merchandise (t-shirts, hats)

Most farm tours begin at 10am. Weekday tours have the most availability as weekends fill up fast with events and farmer’s markets.

Our farm tours are offered on a sliding scale between $10-$30/person. Visitors are encouraged to pay what they can as farm tours support keeping the farm sustainable and regenerative. There is no minimum on the number of guests needed to schedule a tour, but there is a $100 minimum for the tour to make given the time it requires farmers/farmhands to conduct.

Two Barn Apartments for short-term rentals

If you're looking to get away from hustle of the city, come stay with us! The space is surrounded by windows so guests can enjoy views of water buffalo grazing on rolling pastures beneath century old live oak trees. There is also a nice balcony to enjoy the views. A friendly farm dog, tiny pony, and cats will greet you upon arrival - sorry, but no personal pets or animals are allowed in either unit.

The barn is situated on a beautiful 52 acre water buffalo, bee, and chicken farm. We are a small farm and utilize permaculture and regenerative practices. We do not use chemicals of any kinds on our pastures, in our gardens, or on our animals. All of our meat and milk come from happy grass fed water buffalo who have never been treated with any hormones or antibiotics. We keep bees and have pasture-raised chickens for eggs. In May - July we have an abundant organic blueberry orchard from which guests are welcome to pick their own berries and pay by the pound picked.
